SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) —Dry and windy weather will top the headlines today as a strong cold front marches eastward during the day.

A Red Flag Warning for critical fire danger is in effect for much of KELOLAND. Strong winds and low humidity are big factors to consider.

Sioux Falls will see warmer temperatures right ahead of the cold front around Midday, with steady or falling temperatures for the afternoon.

The wind forecast shown below details the strong wind forecast this afternoon. Expect much lighter winds tonight and tomorrow.

Don’t be surprised at the colder air coming in tonight. We expect widespread 30s in western SD tomorrow morning. We’ll have an update on the forecast coming up on Midday in KELOLAND.
