On Friday, Vice President Kamala Harris made her first trip to the border in three years. Harris spent little over 20 minutes at the wall that lines parts of the U.S. Mexico border.
While her critics say it was purely a political stunt, her visit did serve to highlight the failure of the Biden administration on border security.
Border encounters are up over 40 percent since 2021 when Harris took office.
Over 250,000 illegal encounters in December alone, an all-time record.
Enough fentanyl entered the U.S. to kill 6 billion people, the entire population of the United States 12 times over.
At least 169 people on the terrorism and 598 known gang members, many of them part of MS-13, entered the country illegally.
“Cities have been overwhelmed. Schools closed, lives disrupted, to house illegal immigrants, all while American veterans go homeless and the American people suffer with record-breaking inflation,” said Gina Swaboda, chair of the AZGOP.
“Kamala Harris has failed the American people, plain and simple,” concluded Swaboda. “We need to build the wall, reinstate Remain in Mexico, and start deporting illegals instead of welcoming them with open arms. The only way to do this is by electing President Trump and an America First Senate in November.”
On Friday, a top Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) official revealed that hundreds of thousands of migrants with criminal convictions were on the agency’s non-detained docket.
