A Sioux Falls man is in the Minnehaha County Jail accused of rape, sexual contact with a child and child abuse. According to court papers, Orangie Johnson raped and assaulted a 12-year-old child in early April in Sioux Falls. 


A judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by a group of Black Hawk residents impacted by the Hideaway Hills mine sinkhole in 2020. The lawsuit alleged that the state’s mining activities and the way the mine was ultimately closed created conditions ripe for sinkholes to develop. 


A Minnesota non-profit that offers addiction treatment is seeing a growing need for services. New Life Treatment Center will be raising money for its mission this weekend at the Harvest of Hope Festival.
