KOKOMO, Ind. — A Kokomo man has been arrested after an investigation uncovered that he reportedly had thousands of child porn images on his computer.
According to a news release from the Howard County Sheriff’s Office, 72-year-old Charles Chilcott has been charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, each a Level 5 felony. Chilcott is being held at the Howard County Criminal Justice Center.
Earlier this month, an investigator with the sheriff’s office was assigned to assist with the Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force with an investigation surrounding possession of child pornography.
On Sept. 20, investigators with the task force, along with a detective from the Kokomo Police Department, searched Chilcott’s home. During the search, law enforcement officials found a computer and a hard drive that had thousands of child porn images on them.
The release said that the images containing child pornography ranged from the ages of infants to teens.
