SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Another threat was made against the Sioux Falls School District Tuesday night, according to an email sent to parents from the district.
“Police are in contact with the family of a middle school student who is believed to be the source of another social media threat that was circulating overnight,” the email from the school district to parents said. “There is no current threat to any of our schools and class will go on as scheduled thanks to our safety protocols and our partnership with the Sioux Falls Police.”
The district reminded parents that sharing threats can create misinformation and fear, and are never considered as jokes.
The district encouraged parents to report threats, instead of reposting them on social media.
