INDIANAPOLIS — A ramp that connects Interstate 465 eastbound to Interstate 65 northbound near Beech Grove will be closed over the weekend.
According to a press release from the Indiana Department of Transportation, the ramp will be shut down from 9 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Monday. The ramp’s closure will help crews complete a thin deck overlay.
Crews will also be restricting parts of I-65 in the area to complete thin deck overlay projects over the weekend.
Between 9 p.m. Friday and 6 a.m. Monday, either one or two lanes of I-65 northbound will be open between I-465 and Keystone Avenue. Crews will open and close lanes of the roadway throughout the course of the weekend, so motorists may see varying restrictions when they drive through the area.
INDOT encourages those driving through the area this weekend to slow down, use caution and avoid distractions. The estimated timelines for the projects could change because they are weather-dependent.
