SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls woman is behind bars, accused of grabbing a 3-year-old child’s arm and trying to pull from her mother’s car as the child’s mother sat in the front seat.
Authorities arrested 45-year-old Penny Stands on Thursday in Sioux Falls. She is charged with crime called “Enticing Away a Child.”
It’s a misdemeanor charge, so we are unable to show you her picture.
The little girl’s mother says she doesn’t know Stands and that she tried to snatch her daughter from the car for no apparent reason.
The judge called it a “nightmare” and set bond at $1,000 cash only.
The judge told Stands, “Quite frankly, if the state would have asked for $ 50 thousand dollars, I would have held you on that.”
