INDIANAPOLIS – Multiple crashes on area interstates slowed traffic around central Indiana on Tuesday.
The Indiana Department of Transportation’s TrafficWise map showed three separate alerts affecting parts of I-65 and I-70.
Incidents included a crash on I-65 southbound between 82nd Street and Traders Lane on the northwest side. The right lane was closed, with traffic slow in the area.
Just north of that crash, another alert showed a second incident on I-65 southbound near 82nd Street, with the left lane closed. The second crash had cleared by 8 a.m.
Close to downtown, I-70 westbound had two lanes closed between Valley Avenue and Lewis Street near the split, according to INDOT. The scene had finally cleared just before 8 a.m.
Another incident slowed traffic on I-65 on Indy’s south side.
INDOT reported a crash on I-65 northbound between Edgewood Avenue and Thompson Road that brought traffic to a crawl in the left lane. That issue was marked cleared around 6:50 a.m.
Another crash was reported on the southwest side at I-465 eastbound between Mann Road and S. Harding Street. Traffic was reduced to one lane. The crash had cleared by 8:30 a.m.
