UPDATE 10:31 a.m.: IMPD has confirmed two people have now died in the shooting. Officers located a second victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. This victim was then transported to an area hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Indianapolis — Officers from the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on the east side of Indianapolis Saturday morning.
According to IMPD, officers were called to the 100 block of N Linwood Ave around 9:21 a.m. on the report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers discovered a victim with injuries consistent with gunshot wounds. Police said they were pronounced dead on-scene.
Neither a suspect nor cause of the shooting has been announced at this time. FOX59/CBS4 will update this story once more information is made available.
