SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO)-- It was a hazy morning across portions of KELOLAND due to wildfire smoke aloft and it will continue to slide to the south throughout the day. Besides the haze, partly cloudy to mostly clear skies will persist.
After a few days of temperatures staying average to above average, we begin to head towards “fall-like” temperatures. A northerly wind will calm down heading into the overnight hours, along with keeping us cool and dry.
A trough will continue to exit our area and temperatures will stay below average going into the weekend. Most of us will stay quiet, but a few isolated sprinkles could be possible on the backside of the trough tomorrow afternoon, mainly east of I-29.
Heading into the start of next week, the ridge off to our west will move in and we will begin to warm back up into the 80s and 90s.
