Actor Troy Montero and popular TV host Kim Atienza add star power to the novel Asics Rock ‘n’ Roll running series set to be flagged off on June 19 which will take runners around the City of Manila’s famous historical landmarks.
Montero has competed in a number of triathlon events put up by the organizing Ironman Group and will take part in the 42k race that will start late in the afternoon together with the 21K race.
Meanwhile, Atienza, who has taken to physical fitness after surviving a stroke a decade or so ago, is entered in the 10K race that is set to be flagged off in the early morning like the 5K race.
Entries are still being accepted at www.runrocknroll.com.manila with onsite registration at Garmin stores nationwide.
The four-category race is a different one to hit local shores with live bands and music lined up all over the route that will have runners passing the National Museum complex, Intramuros, the Manila Cathedral, Manila City Hall, the Kartilya ng Katipunan, the Jones Bridge and Chinatown in Binondo, the walled city of Intramuros and back to Rizal Park.
