SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls woman is a top 10 finalist in the TORRID women’s clothing nationwide model casting call.
Kaylee Slagus, 24, has been selected out of more than 11,000 North American applicants. The casting call was initially narrowed down to the top 30 finalists, then narrowed to the top 10 in the final round.
Slagus and the other nine finalists are heading to Los Angeles this weekend to participate in a full-day modeling mentorship.
The finalist will be announced on September 4 and featured in a 2025 campaign photoshoot. The finalist will also receive a $2,000 cash prize, a full year’s wardrobe from TORRID valued at $15,000 and an opportunity to be signed with a global talent management agency.
TORRID is a plus-sized clothing brand in sizes 10 to 30 focused on premium materials for fit and comfort. TORRID is headquartered in California where most of their stores are based at many stores across the United States and Canada. In South Dakota, TORRID is located at the Empire Place in Sioux Falls and at the Rushmore Mall in Rapid City.
