JENNINGS COUNTY, Ind. — Two individuals were struck by lightning in Jennings County.
On Friday, Aug. 2, deputies with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to Country Squire Lakes on a report that two people had been struck by lightning, according to JCSO.
Upon arrival, officers found and 18-year-old man and a teen girl who was nine months pregnant. The pair were in a tent outside their home when the lightning struck.
Law enforcement rendered aid until emergency health officials responded.
The individuals are in serious but stable condition. The baby was listed as “ok.”
