PENNINGTON COUNTY, S.D. (KELO) — A motorcyclist died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle crash on Old Hill City Road, Hill City, SD.
According to a press release from the South Dakota Highway Patrol, Joel G. Erickson, the driver of a 1994 Harley Davidson Cruiser, was traveling eastbound on Old Hill City Road. The driver lost control and the bike began sliding on the right side, then flipped, coming to rest on the shoulder of the road.
The driver was transported to a Rapid City hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
