SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) – A 46-year-old man died and a 49-year-old man was injured in a motorcycle crash in Lawrence County Wednesday morning.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the crash happened on Nemo Road near Estes Creek Road at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday. The motorcycle left the road, entered the ditch and went into the air with both the driver and passenger ejecting.
Both the driver and passenger were wearing a helmet.
The passenger was life-flighted to a Rapid City hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver died.
There have been three deadly motorcycle crashes in the Black Hills this week ahead of the Sturgis Rally, which officially starts Friday.
