LENNOX, S.D. (KELO) — Elk Point-Jefferson defeated Lennox 12-1 to punch the final ticket to the Class ‘B’ Legion state tournament Saturday.
Post 134 scored five runs in the top of the first. After adding one in the second, EPJ plated three more in the third. They pushed two more across in the fourth to open up an 11-0 lead.
Elk Point-Jefferson will now face Lake Norden/Badger in the first round of the state tournament Friday, August 2 at 10 a.m. in Salem.
