SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — Here are this morning’s top stories with KELOLAND On the Go.

A second human case of West Nile has been confirmed in South Dakota. As of July 23rd, there have been seven counties in South Dakota with positive mosquito pools: Brookings, Brown, Lincoln, Minnehaha and more.

Sewage backup in the southern part of Canton is leaving some residents with several feet of sewage in their homes.

After assessing all 347 miles of paved roads in the county, Stantec gave Minnehaha County a Pavement Quality Index (PQI) of 75. The county has 495.2 lane miles of “excellent” road condition, 147.2 miles of “good” roads, 69.6 with fair conditions and only seven lane miles with poor road conditions. Zero roads failed the inspection.

Areas of fog have formed once again in parts of KELOLAND, but the hazy sunshine will be common in all parts of the region this afternoon.
