Good morning KELOLAND! Our Monday forecast is starting with hazy sunshine and areas of fog. We expect a warm day ahead and some scattered t-storms possible this afternoon.
First, that hazy sunshine is due to the fire activity in Canada. We expect that will be a story for the next few days.
On radar, we witnessed several “scattered” showers and thunderstorms in KELOLAND on Sunday. Most of the rain fell apart by mid evening.
You can see the 24 hour rainfall totals on the map below.
Highs yesterday stayed mainly in the 80s.
Our hour-by-hour forecast shows more 80s today in KELOLAND. We are forecasting another 20% chance of rain for most areas, but the rain coverage will be scattered at best. Expect more scattered hits of rain tomorrow. With hotter weather just around the corner, the rain will be used up by the growing crops in short order.
Hotter weather is on the way. You can see the heatwave building across the Pacific Northwest, a trend that will increase our temperatures in KELOLAND at the end of the week. We could be looking at several days of above average temperatures as we approach the end of July.
Here are the details of the forecast.
