Somebody asked people on Reddit for insider hacks that customers aren’t supposed to know about.  Does this one really work?  Because I’m about to start gathering up change for my swear jar . . .

Someone with lots of customer service experience tossed out this gem:  If you call a company and a bot answers, drop a few F-BOMBS.  (???)  The A.I. will flag you as disgruntled and immediately put an actual human on the phone.

That one saves you time.  Now, here are a few more industry hacks that can also save you money . . .

1.  If you offer to pay your therapist in cash, they might cut you a deal.

2.  If you’re mailing something to an address that’s not far away, always choose the cheapest shipping option.  Paying more probably won’t get it there faster.

3.  Don’t use big websites to buy flowers.  It’s cheaper if you call a local florist and tell them what you want.  Show them a picture from the site if you need to.

4.  Want a bigger scholarship?  Just ask.  A high school teacher said several students got between $10,000 and $20,000 more this year by writing to the school before committing, and claiming another school was offering more money.

5.  Get a car loan before you buy.  You’ll almost always get a better rate if you go directly through a financing company.

6.  Not enough people buy “refurbished” products, like computers.  They’re essentially like new, and they come with a warranty.

7.  This one’s definitely the darkest on the list:  You can RENT a nice casket for a funeral, then bury the person in a cheaper one.
