SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — There is an update on the criminal case filed against a former Sioux Falls middle school teacher.

KELOLAND News first reported on Justin Preuschl in March, when he was charged with solicitation of a minor.

According to a document filed at the Minnehaha County Courthouse, that charge has now been dismissed.

However, Preuschl still faces 16 child porn-related charges in federal court.

The U-S Attorney’s office says he posed as a 15-year-old boy online and pressured multiple girls to send him sexually explicit materials.

He was employed at Whittier Middle School at the time of the alleged crimes. Preuschl remains behind bars as of the time of reporting.
