HAYTI, SD (KELO) — A 20-year-old Brookings man is facing charges following a weekend rollover in Hamlin County.
A vehicle ended up on its top on U.S. Highway 81 north of Lake Poinsett Saturday morning.
Deputies searched the area, but there was no sign of the driver.
Later, authorities determined that the vehicle had been stolen from Lake Poinsett Friday night.
The alleged driver turned up at a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
He’s charged with felony grand theft, DUI, failure to report a crash and reckless driving.
