Yesterday’s (June 7, 2022) primary election went smoothly in Hughes County.
That assessment from county Finance Officer/Auditor Thomas Oliva, who was coordinating his first election since being appointed to that position.
Oliva says it was a bit of a challenge finding enough poll workers for the county’s five vote center locations.
Oliva says about 34% of the registered voters in Hughes County voted yesterday.
