INDIANAPOLIS — A Silver Alert has been declared as Indy police are asking for the public’s help finding a missing man last seen on the city’s south side who may be dehydrated and in extreme danger.

IMPD Missing Persons Detectives are actively searching for Frederico Acosta, a 67-year-old man last seen around 11 a.m. Thursday wearing a black and blue short-sleeve shirt and riding and a red and silver cruiser bicycle in the 3200 block of S. Pennsylvania Street.

A Silver Alert issued Friday for Acosta describes him as a 5’7″, 135-pound balding man with grey hair and brown eyes. Photos of Acosta provided by police are below:

IMPD said that Acosta has been diagnosed with dementia and may be dehydrated and confused. The Silver Alert said he is believed to be in extreme danger and may require medical care.
