  1. Donald Trump’s former lawyer, Michael Cohen, is due to give his final day of testimony in the ex-president’s hush-money trial in New York
  2. Trump denies falsifying business records to cover up an alleged sexual encounter with porn star Stormy Daniels – an encounter that he denies took place
  3. Cohen once said he would take a bullet for Trump, but later turned against his former boss – and has now been called as the prosecution’s star witness
  4. He has already testified that Trump approved a plan to reimburse him for $130,000 (£104,300) that was paid to Daniels as hush money ahead of the 2016 election
  5. Last week, he also told the court he lied for his former boss out of “loyalty” and to “protect” Trump
  6. The defence spent hours attacking Cohen’s credibility as a witness, highlighting his convictions for lying to Congress and other criminal charges
