We are over eight months from the presidential election.
And Joe Biden is getting more and more bad news each day.
Battleground States are Crucial for Each Candidate ā and Trump Is Winning Them
In most battleground states ā crucial for both Biden and Donald Trump, the presumed nominees for their respective parties ā Trump is beating Biden.
Thatās not good news for the Democrats.
Yahoo News reports, āDonald TrumpĀ is on course to beatĀ Joe BidenĀ in four keyĀ battleground states, new polls show.ā
āInĀ Georgia, theĀ former president leads by four points, with 51 percent to his successorās 47 percent among registered voters,Ā according to a Marist poll released on Wednesday,ā Yahoo noted. āMr Biden won the state by just 0.23 percent in 2020, becoming the firstĀ DemocraticĀ presidential candidate to win the state sinceĀ Bill ClintonĀ in 1992.ā
āThe president is behind by three points among those in Georgia who said they definitely plan to vote,ā said the report. āMr Trump has increased his support among young voters in the state since 2020, and he has made progress among Black voters, even as Mr Biden still has a wide lead among African Americans.ā
The story continued:
In North Carolina, a Marist pollĀ also published on Wednesday shows Mr Trump leading Mr Biden by three points ā 51 to 48 per cent.
Among independents registered to vote in the state, Mr Trump has a six-point lead ā 52 to 46 per centā¦
Meanwhile, Emerson College, KLAS-TV, andĀ The HillĀ foundĀ in their Nevada poll also released on Wednesday that Mr Trump is up 44 to 41 per cent in the state. Fifteen per cent remain undecidedā¦
In Arizona, a state narrowly won by Mr Biden in 2020, Mr Trump is up by four points ā 48 to 44 per cent, according to a separate poll by Emerson College andĀ The Hill.Ā Eight per cent remain undecided.
Can Biden Catch Up to Trump?
Bidenās age isnāt helping him. Neither is inflation. Neither is his foreign policy in Ukraine and Gaza. To name just a few handicaps.
A lot can happen in eight months and maybe Trumpās numbers in states that can easily go red or blue will change.
But for the foreseeable future, Donald Trump is dominating them. Joe Biden needs to catch up. But how he gets on a path to victory is very hard to see right now.
