Whoever first noted that you can tell a person’s age by their hands was incredibly rude. Unfortunately, they were also correct. Understandably, our hard-working hands take a bit of a beating. But I just think it’s a fabulous sign of a life well-lived. That said, there’s nothing wrong with taking a little preventative action. With that, let’s see which products made our short list for the best hand cream for aging hands.
True story: my 94-year-old grandmother has the most rigorous hand maintenance regime of anyone I know. She’s meticulous about daily SPF, slathers her sweet little paws with thick, luxurious anti-aging hand creams multiple times a day, and places her hands in her lap, palms up, when sitting outdoors. I can honestly say her hands are gorgeous—nary a sunspot or crepey skin to be found.

The Best Hand Cream for Aging Hands
All this to say: anti-aging hand creams work! They are chock-full of powerful active ingredients that are similar, if not identical, to the ingredients we love to slather on our face, but with one advantage—hands have the ability to tolerate much thicker, heavier creams than our faces do. So when you literally lay it on thick, your hands are gulping down high quantities of the good stuff. Sounds excellent to me! Just make sure you don’t forget and touch your face after applying a thick cream, otherwise, you can count the minute until a pimple appears.
