MANILA, Philippines—Luis Pablo is coming back home.

After barely playing for University of the Philippines, Pablo is switching to the Green and White jersey anew; this time with La Salle.

Pablo, who made a name for himself after winning the NCAA Season 98 MVP in the high school division with La Salle Greenhills, said his desire to show more of his talents pushed him to move with the Green Archers.

“I want to show what else I can do… It’s exciting that I will be given a chance to show that,” said the 19-year-old  Pablo in a press release. “I’ll just make sure that I’ll improve on the expectations people have with me, especially with myself.”

Pablo barely had any chance to showcase his talents with the Fighting Maroons in UAAP Season 86.

As a rookie, Pablo had to take a backseat in coach Goldwin Monteverde’s lineup with guys like Malick Diouf, Sean Torculas and Mark Belmonte being constants in UP’s frontcourt.

Pablo only played 9.9 minutes per game in Season 86 and averaged just 1.5 points and 1.75 rebounds per outing.

Now, that may soon change as the promising big man joins college stars Kean Baclaan and Jacob Cortez in the list of players that will sit out next year’s tourney and will bolster La Salle in Season 88.

And if the former LSGH Greenies star has anything to say about it, he’s more than eager to play alongside the star-studded tandem.

“I’m so excited to play alongside them because I haven’t experienced it yet.”
