As a whole, the Tennessee Titans saw an increase in the number of penalties committed from 2020 to 2021, something that would no doubt irk head coach Mike Vrabel.

In 2020, the Titans committed 88 total penalties across offense, defense and special teams (including playoffs), ranking as the 13th-fewest in the NFL, according to NFLPenalties.com.

In 2021, that number jumped to 105, ranking as the 15th-most in the league. Of course, there was an extra game on the schedule in 2021, but the Titans also saw an uptick in average penalties per contest, from 5.18 to 5.83.

Here’s a breakdown of how many Tennessee committed on each side of the ball and where they ranked in the NFL.

Offense: 48 (T-9th fewest)

Defense: 41 (T-15th most)

Special Teams: 16 (T-9th most)

Special teams coordinator Craig Aukerman has been on the hot seat with fans and media over the last few years for the Titans’ lackluster special teams play, and this certainly won’t help.

Now, here’s a look at which Titans players were among the team leaders in penalties drawn in 2021. Each figure also includes declined penalties.
