Dixmoor police are investigating a shooting early Saturday that left three people wounded, while authorities in in Dolton and Crest Hill reported separate shooting deaths .
In Dixmoor, police said they responded shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday to a report of shots fired at Maddie’s bar in the 14300 block of South Wood Street, and found three people wounded by gunfire.
Police said a woman was hit in her right shoulder and taken by family to UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey and a man who had been struck in the neck by a bullet was also taken there. A man hit in the chest by gunfire was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, police said.
The three victims were listed as stable at the time they were taken, police said.
Police said that a man was identified as being responsible for the shots fired, but no new information was available from Monday.
Separately, the Cook County medical examiner’s office reported the shooting death of a 26-year-old Riverdale man in Dolton.
Keante Dermel Ates, of the 14300 block of South Michigan Avenue, suffered a gunshot wound to the chest in the 500 block of East 144th Street in Dolton and was pronounced dead at the scene at 10 p.m. Nov. 21, according to the office.
The Will County coroner’s office and Crest Hill police reported the shooting death of a 31-year-old Lockport Township man who was found wounded Saturday outside an address in the 1100 block of Elizabeth Court.
Police said they responded shortly after 3 p.m. Saturday to Elizabeth Court and found a man shot multiple times in what the coroner’s office said was an apparent homicide. He was identified as Uarl Hunter, and was pronounced dead at 4:21 p.m. Saturday at Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, according to the coroner’s office.
Crest Hill police said they are working with the Will/Grundy Major Crimes Task Force in the investigation, and ask anyone with information to call investigators at 815-741-5115.
