MANILA, Philippines—TNT made PBA 3X3 history on Tuesday .

After defeating Cavitex, 21-12, in the Leg 3 Finals of the league’s 3×3 Season 3 Second Conference at at Ayala Mall Fairview Terraces, Triple Giga became the first-ever squad to three consecutive legs in a single conference.

Ping Exciminiano, who helped TNT with three points and five rebounds, said the management’s expectation of them was a driving factor for them to make history in the 3×3 league.

“Our management has very high expectations for us so we really prepared for this leg. It’s a good thing that we got the three-peat right away even though Chester (Saldua) and Matt (Salem) are new to us,” said Exciminiano in Filipino.

While Saldua and Salem made their presence known for Triple Giga, it was the squad’s most reliable gunner that pushed them all the way to the title in Almond Vosotros.

Vosotros nailed 12 markers, including a dagger two-pointer to put TNT up decisively, 17-9, to help his squad snag its 16th overall leg title.

TNT took home P100,000 pesos in cash prize while the quartet of Marion Magat, Ken Ighalo, Tonino Gonzaga and Bong Galanza brought Cavitex to the P50,000 pesos consolation.
