Indianapolis mayor Joe Hogsett tested positive for COVID-19 over the weekend.
He used an at-home test after he experienced mild symptoms, according to a city news release.
According to this Twitter account, Hogsett attended the Stronger Together event Saturday at Emma Donnan Elementary & Middle School, where he met with multiple residents and local organizations.
He is isolating at his home and following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines for quarantining.

“Thanks to my vaccine and booster shot, I am experiencing very minor symptoms, and continue to encourage all residents to get their vaccine to reduce their risk of serious illness,” the mayor tweeted.
No details were provided about which variant the mayor had contracted.
As of Thursday, there were 650 cases of the coronavirus reported in Marion County, according to the states tracking dashboard. Across the state, there are 5,464 active cases, according to the site, which wasn’t updated Friday due to the extended Easter holiday weekend.
