In a combined Stanley and Hughes County court proceeding last week (May 9-13, 2022), Judge Mayer revoked the felony probation of Daniel Christopher Puppel.
In 2021, Puppel was involved in felony thefts in both Counties, he was granted probation with suspended prisons sentences; then failed and refused to pay restitution and successfully complete probation.
After considering the comments of the defendant and counsel, Mayer sentenced Puppel to serve a combined 5 years in the South Dakota Penitentiary, with financial terms as previously ordered, credit for time served, and other terms and conditions.
