MANILA, Philippines–Dwight Ramos was the lone triumphant Filipino import on Sunday as he helped the Levanga Hokkaido earn an 86-74 win over the Sendai 89ers in the 2022-23 B.League season at Hokkai Kita-yale.
Ramos delivered seven points, eight rebounds, and two steals in 28 minutes of playing time as Hokkaido completed a weekend sweep of Sendai.
Shawn Long led the charge with 33 points as Levanga rose to a 19-39 record.
On Saturday, the Gilas Pilipinas star erupted for 24 points in their 81-74 victory over the 89ers, who dropped to an 18-40 record this weekend.
Carl Tamayo wasn’t part of the active rotation but the playoff-bound Ryukyu Golden Kings (47-11) took down the Osaka Evessa (26-32) with an 86-72 conquest at Okinawa Arena.
The injured Ray Parks Jr. continued to miss games for the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins trounced Matthew Wright’sKyoto Hannaryz, 77-58, at Dolphins Arena.
Takumi Saito led the Parks-less Dolphins with 17 points and six assists to improve their record to 41-17.
Wright shot 1-of-10 from the field and was limited to just three points, leaving Jarrod Uthoff carrying the cudgels with 26 points and 11 rebounds as Kyoto slid to 21-37.
Meanwhile, Kai Sotto was held to just three points and three rebounds in 12 minutes for the Hiroshima Dragonflies (40-17), falling to the Shimane Susanoo Magic (46-12) with a lackluster 87-65 defeat at Matsue City Gymnasium.
Over at Shiga Daihatsu Arena, Kiefer Ravena only produced eight points, six rebounds, and two assists as the Shiga Lakes (13-45) absorbed an 81-68 blowout at the hands of the Utsunomiya Brex (31-27).
Thirdy Ravena’s seven-point, seven-assist, and six-rebound effort also went for naught as the San-En NeoPhoenix (22-36) couldn’t stop the Niigata Albirex BB (13-45) from taking a 87-69 rout.
