The former head of Jared Fogle’s charitable foundation and his ex-wife have been sentenced to prison for sexually molesting young girls on camera and providing the now-disgraced Subway spokesperson with explicit content.
U.S. District Chief Judge Tanya Walton Pratt on Monday sentenced Angela Baldwin to 33 years and four months behind bars, according to a press release from the Department of justice. She was convicted in October of two counts of producing child sexual abuse material, one count of conspiracy to produce such material, and one count of possessing it.
Her former husband, Russell Taylor, was meanwhile sentenced to 27 years in prison. The 50-year-old from Indianapolis, pleaded guilty last year to 30 child pornography and sexual exploitation counts for his acts against nine children.

The charges stem from incidents involving nine different girls ranging in age from nine to 16 years old, including two who claimed they were sexually assaulted by the couple inside their west-side home.
Prosecutors said the couple shared with Fogle videos and photos of the girls that were captured by hidden cameras installed throughout their residence.

“The Taylors have finally been held accountable for their years of heinous sexual exploitation of children,” U.S. Attorney Zachary A. Myers said in a statement.

“Child sexual abusers must be held accountable for the lifelong impact of these crimes on survivors and their families.”
Taylor had been facing a maximum sentence of life behind bars, but Pratt agreed on a lesser sentence because he provided important information to federal law enforcement that helped them bring charges against Baldwin and Fogle.
In 2015, Fogle, who became the face of Subway after losing more than 200 pounds as a college student, primarily by eating the chain’s sandwiches, was sentenced in 15 years in prison for possession or distribution of child pornography and traveling across state lines to have sex with a minor.
During a court appearance on Monday, he described himself as a “vile, selfish, self-loathing, sorry excuse” for a human, but said he has been taking advantage of counseling opportunities from behind bars, the Indy Star reported.
He said he and Baldwin shared a “mutual perversion,” which fueled the abuse.
