Chandler is getting a new entertainment venue. With an expected opening around mid-May 2021, 810 Billiards and Bowling will offer cool fun to escape the summer heat.
Husband and wife team, Poonam and Ronak Manek are bringing this boutique bowling and billiards venue based out of South Carolina to Chandler with hopes to grow and take over the Valley with more 810 Billiards & Bowling locations!
“Our immediate goal is to create a place where people can have a good time, have fun and socialize,” said Poonam. “We want 810 to be a one-stop-shop where folks can have a good time, hang out with friends and family, have a girl’s night out, and whatever else is up your alley– pun intended!”
810 will offer not only billiards and bowling but also shuffleboard, a full-service restaurant and a full-service bar serving signature cocktails. “We feel like we can take care of an entire family,” she added.
Opening a billiards and bowling center is an all new endeavor for the Maneks. Poonam was born and raised in the United Kingdom and worked as a nurse. Ronak is originally from Tanzania and was formerly a pharmacist. They’ve been married 18 years and lived in Chicago where they owned several pharmacies before moving to Arizona in search of new adventures.
In 2018 the couple sold their pharmacies to catch up on life and their children. “Our lives as pharmacy owners were very busy and hectic, and getting to see our kids and spend time with them was not much of an option,” said Poonam. “We always wanted to move to Arizona and we had no real commitment so we made the move”.
After selling their businesses and getting settled in Arizona the pair got a little stir crazy. Having been working and running businesses their whole lives, they decided to get back to work and started looking for a good investment. They were close to signing off on a preschool franchise, and then they talked to Mike Siniscalchi, the President of 810 BIlliard’s & Bowling. “We really liked what the company had to offer, so we decided to go that route instead,” said Poonam. “Coming from healthcare and not a restaurant background, we knew we needed a lot of guidance, and Mike was willing to give us that.”
The menu at 810 will feature a wide variety of American comfort food, with classic favorites like scratch-made pizza, dips and sauces, burgers, quesadillas, Mexican choices, fries, onion rings, salads, wings, tacos, pretzels and a selection of region-specific desserts as well.
The Manek’s plan to pride 810 with excellent service and vow that a visit to their establishment will be a good time for everyone.
810 Billiards & Bowling is tentatively scheduled to open May 15, 2021, stay tuned to Arizona Foodie for updates!
