This investigator makes Inspector Clouseau look like a genius.

A Newsmax host determined Wednesday that he had figured out who leaked the Supreme Court draft opinion that would strike down Roe v. Wade: future Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.

But there’s an issue with the theory: Jackson isn’t yet on the court and didn’t have access to the draft. She won’t be sworn in until the summer.

“I find it suspect that the first leak coming out of the Supreme Court in history comes shortly after Judge Jackson is confirmed,” Grant Stinchfield said on his program on the right-wing network.

“She would be my first suspect when it comes to the leak because Ketanji Brown Jackson is a radical left-wing activist.”

“Suspect” or not, whoever leaked the draft is unlikely to face criminal charges. Chief Justice John Roberts ordered an investigation into the leak nonetheless. The initial Roe v. Wade decision was also leaked, in that case to Time magazine instead of Politico.

Jackson was confirmed in early April as the Supreme Court’s first Black woman justice in its 233-year history. She did not hear the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case and would’ve had zero access to the draft opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito in February and leaked on Monday.

Stinchfield joined Newsmax after leaving NRA TV. He previously suggested North Korea attack the city of Sacramento because it’s California’s capital city, railed against a gay Captain America in comic books and literally cut off an Army veteran who didn’t go along with his political narrative.
