A Colorado Springs police officer has been arrested on suspicion of stalking.
Officer Stephanie Landreneau was arrested on Wednesday and booked at the El Paso County Jail on investigation of stalking, a class-five felony, according to the police department.
Police became aware of allegations against Landreneau on April 28 and a criminal investigation began, police said in a news release. A warrant was issued for her arrest on Wednesday.
Landreneau has been with the department since June of 2016 and is assigned to the Sand Creek Division as a patrol officer She has been placed on administrative leave. An investigation is ongoing.
