The tallest Christmas tree in the United Kingdom has been lit for the holiday season.

The 121-foot-tall redwood with more than 1,800 “energy-saving light bulbs” is the centerpiece of holiday decorations at Wakehurst in West Sussex, BBC reported Thursday.

In comparison, the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree in New York City is just 82 feet tall.

“When we light the Christmas tree, that’s when people say Christmas starts in this area of Sussex,” Lorraine Lecourtois, head of public programs at Wakehurst, told ITV.

The spectacle will be open to the public for the rest of the holiday season.
