SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — A Sioux Falls boutique is having an event this weekend, with a special up-and-coming barista making an appearance.

Heritage Boutique is gearing up for its Coffins and Coffee Event.

“So we have Livy and she is the owner of Cuties and we’re just kind of kicking off the fall and Halloween season and just kind of getting people in the festivities and we’re just kind of celebrating that,” Owner of Heritage Boutique, Emma Schulz said.

The event will feature a local barista… 9-year-old Olivia Schmidt owns the pop-up with her mom called CU(TEAS).

“We just started making it,” Olivia Schmidt said.

“She’s always been crafty and into like throwing some concoctions together. So now this is a little bit of a better outlet for her,” Olivia’s mom, Hannah Schmidt said.

At Saturday’s event, Olivia is excited to be serving up an array of different flavors…

“So there’s one called Spider Strider. It has, um, apple cider, right? Um, and then it has chai in it, too,” Olivia said.

“I think that our favorite thing has just been kind of like looking up new drinks that we could do and some different fun things that we could try and just kind of going with it,” Hannah said.

Olivia proves that you’re never too young to chase a dream.

“I think my favorite thing is that she is very shy and she gets a little nervous and I just see her kind of step out of her shell and get to actually like speak to people a little bit more, become a little bit more confident,” Hannah said.

“Never too young,” Olivia said.

You can find Olivia at the Coffins and Coffee event Saturday morning at Heritage Boutique.

The event runs from 10 to 1.
