This post in partnership with Gap Factory. All opinions are 100% my own!

If you are looking to refresh some basics in your wardrobe but don’t want to blow your budget–this post is for you!

You may be saying, “Gap Factory? I did not have them on my bingo card” and to that I say, “ME EITHER.”

But why have we been hiding under rocks?!?!

In fact, the #1 favorite reader shorts of summer came from none other than Gap Factory. (More on them below). You all convinced me to order them (I always say you’re the real influencers) and lo and behold–yes, they are fantastic–and so are several other Gap Factory things I got my hands on! (Keep scrolling for those!)

Luckily for us–their whole site is 50-70% off, plus an extra 15% off at checkout! , so I ordered a bunch of items to try to see what lives up to the hype. I was thoroughly impressed when my order arrived and I opened a box full of great wardrobe essentials that look and feel more expensive than they are–not to mention, things I’ll wear year-round. They would be great even if they weren’t up to 70% off–but a great price makes everything WAY better, right?

Let’s jump into the review and try on!

What I ordered from the Gap Factory 60% off sale:

Easy Crepe Trousers: $33

If you’re looking for a comfy, easy trouser that can be styled up or down, lays beautifully, and doesn’t wrinkle (seriously, they barely had a wrinkle right out of the box!) these are for you. They’re elastic in the back with a zipper/hook closure in the front. I expected them to be really lightweight (you know, “crepe”) but the fabric has some weight to it, so it’s really flattering and anti-wrinkle. Especially great for travel!

TTS, I got XS.

Ribbed Scoopneck Tank Top: $10

If you’re looking for a great basic ribbed tank that is formfitting, not see-through, and easy to tuck in, look no further. TTS, I ordered XS!

GapFit Tapered Runaround Pants: $25!

These pants have fantastic reviews and now I can see why! Definitely feel and look like a more expensive version, and a great alternative to a legging. Great for errands, chasing kids around, but I can see how you could easily dress them up for the office with some ballet flats and a button-up, too!

TTS, got XS. If you’re in between though, I’d go up, not down.

4″ Mid-Rise Easy Denim Utility Shorts: $30!

WOW the reviews from you all on these shorts–I have received many a DM saying these were your favorite buy of the summer, especially postpartum moms, who are a fan of the stretchy waistband and the 4″ inseam! I have worn them every day since they arrived. 😂 (I may need another color…)

TTS, got XS

Denim Big Shirt: $36!

I need another oversized button-down like I need a hole in my head 😬 but I wear my chambray one so much, when I saw this faded black denim version…it was game over. 10/10. Super soft, lays beautifully, the sleeves are the perfect width so they roll up easily and don’t fall down. And the price–it’s two thumbs up from me!

Sizing: I got a size small (I love my button downs oversized! But if you want it smaller, obviously go down a size.)

Poplin Big Shirt: $36!

Ok one more thing I TRULY truly don’t need is another white button-down. But I wanted to order this one because I often get asked if I can recommend any budget-friendly white button-downs and I can confidently go ahead and say this is a fabulous button-down for the price. It’s not a crisp (think office-like) poplin, it’s a more casual, softer feel. I LIVE in these and love one thrown over a bathing suit with a pair of cutoffs, paired with jeans and ballet flats for a classic look all year round–you really can’t go wrong and it’s one of my must-have pieces for any wardrobe.

Sizing: I got a size small (I love my button-downs oversized! But if you want it smaller, obviously go down a size.)

Crewneck Cardigan: $32!

I love a fitted cardigan buttoned up the front and tucked into pants or shorts–of course, this is definitely more of a fall thing (at least in the midwest–it’s too hot for cardigans) unless you go into an office–but I love the cute stripe (comes in SO many colors) and is a great feminine staple that won’t break the bank. Another item that is easily dressed up or down depending on the occasion, and is great for travel thanks to its versatility.

Sizing: TTS, ordered XS

GapFit Sky High Studio Pocket Leggings: $23!

If you are looking for some cute, comfortable, breathable leggings that have light to medium compression and come in CUTE colors–these are them. A steal on sale at $22.

Sizing: I ordered my usual size in leggings (small) which fit great but they might run a tad roomy if you want them to really suck you in. I usually do size small (vs XS) because I don’t like my leggings SUPER tight–but if I wanted more compression I could’ve gone XS.

GapFit Studio Longline Sports Bra: $17!

I LOVE a good matching set (makes me feel more put together, especially when I throw on a button down over the top with some cute sneakers or birks–one of my school pickup/dropoff uniforms). And of course, I love that this comes in the same colors as the leggings to create the cutest outfit.

That being said, I am not overly floored with the fit of the bra on its own. Super cute to make the set for yoga/pilates/around the house but I wouldn’t go out of my way purchase it as a standalone if I just wanted a longline bra. I felt it was too tight in the band of the shelf bra, but too loose elsewhere to offer much support.

Long story short, I love this top with the pants because of the set–but I wouldn’t necessarily seek it out as a standalone.

Gap Logo Baseball Hat: $10!

As a kid who grew up in the 90’s, the GAP logo has always felt nostalgic and iconic to me. I love this subtle black logo hat–perfect for when you don’t have time to wash your hair but want to look cute and pulled together!

GapFit Nylon Cross-Body Bag: $16!

Another dupe that fits the bill compared to the MUCH more expensive version–this casual, sporty bag is so cute and versatile, and a nice mix-up from the usual fanny pack. The strap is also super adjustable so you can wear it as high or low as you’d like! The perfect size in my opinion–small enough that you forget it’s there but room for the essentials. Comes in light tan and a khaki green, too!

How I styled them:

Hope you love these staples as much as I do!
