SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Authorities are investigating a crash that left a woman a woman dead Wednesday, five miles north of Sturgis.
The Department of Public Safety says a pickup truck was traveling north on Avalanche Road near Eden Road. A driver of a UTV was on a private drive and attempted to make a left turn in front of the pickup truck and the vehicles collided. The driver of the UTV, an 80-year-old woman, was ejected from the UTV and died from injuries sustained in the crash.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
