SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — Authorities are investigating a report of 80 missing cattle near McLaughlin, South Dakota.
The South Dakota State Brand Board says the cattle were reported missing on September 18 and have been missing since September 14. Out of the 80 cattle, 40 were cows and 40 were calves. The livestock are described as Black Angus cow/calf pairs. Some of the cows have green eartags with freeze branding. Some cows have yellow or white tags. The calves have yellow or green tags.
The cattle were last seen on June 1. The cattle were located about 18 miles East of McLaughlin or 15-16 miles North of Mobridge.
The South Dakota State Brand Board says a drone was brought in to search for them.
