CRETE, NE (KELO) — Seven people, including four children, were wounded in a shooting in eastern Nebraska.

It happened Friday afternoon at a home in the town of Crete, southwest of Lincoln.

The Nebraska State Patrol says most of the victims were in the yard, but one was struck while inside the house.

All the victims are expected to recover. The children range in age between 3 and ten years old.

Investigators says the shots were fired from a house located across the street. Law enforcement set up a perimeter around the house.

The SWAT team entered and found the 74-year-old suspected gunman dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.
