We can certainly argue that McCreary, who was ranked as PFF’s No. 19 cornerback in 2023, had a breakout season in his second year.
But there is definitely room for improvement when it comes to his coverage numbers after the Auburn product surrendered a 71.6% completion rate. He did, however, post an impressive passer rating allowed of 85.3, so that number doesn’t tell the full story.
With a year of experience under his belt playing in the slot, McCreary will be even better there in 2024.
