Four people were shot in the Back of the Yards neighborhood Saturday night, according to Chicago police.

Police were called to the 5400 block of South Paulina Street around 11:45 p.m., after someone fired approximately 25 to 30 gunshots into a group gathered on the street, according to an online statement from police.

Four people were struck by the gunfire, police said. Paramedics took them to the University of Chicago Medical Center. Injured were:

  • A 27-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his stomach and was last listed in critical condition.
  • A 42-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound to his right arm and also was in critical condition.
  • A 31-year-old man was shot in the groin and was listed in good condition.
  • A 32-year-old man suffered three gunshot wounds to his right arm, elbow and leg and was listed in good condition.

No arrests had been made as of Sunday morning, police said, and detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
