MARION, Ind. — Four people have been arrested and charged with prostitution after a Marion police investigation into local massage parlors.

The Marion Police Department recently received complaints about three local massage parlors. Those businesses include:

  • Dream Spa, 1900 W. Kem Road
  • Flower Massage, 3403 S. Western Avenue
  • Tranquility Massage, 203 E. 33rd Street

Local law enforcement agencies including Indiana State Police began investigating the massage parlors and conducted undercover operations at the locations. According to police, detectives were solicited by workers at all three locations for sexual acts pending payment.

Detectives believe that the businesses were conducting regular massages and then offering sexual favors for cash at the end. These businesses were then profiting from the illegal activity, police said.

Search warrants were then obtained for all three businesses and conducted on Wednesday, Jan. 1. In total, four people were arrested:

  • Shan Yang, 47, of Jonesboro
  • Zeng Ruiying, 61, of Marion
  • Lijuan Kong, 54, of Marion
  • Rong Huang, 50, of Marion.

All four people were then charged with one count of prostitution each and booked into the Grant County Jail. Prostitution is a Class A misdemeanor in Indiana and is punishable by up to one year in jail and a fine of up to $5,000.
