The season is over for the Tennessee Titans and their offseason is already ramping up with the franchise interviewing general manager candidates after parting ways with Ran Carthon earlier in the week.
For the players, this means exit interviews, medical checks, and locker cleaning are all in progress. But for three young players, it will mean entering the offseason with a little less money after the NFL announced its list of fines from NFL action in Week 18.
Defenders Cedric Gray, James Williams, and Daryl Worley were all fined for plays against the Houston Texans in Week 18. All three players can appeal the fine and potentially have it reduced or repealed in the coming weeks.
Worley received the largest fine of the three, being hit with a $6,722 fine for unnecessary roughness (hitting a defenseless player). Williams was fined $4,540 for unsportsmanlike conduct and Gray $5,576 for unnecessary roughness (striking/kicking/kneeing).
All of the fines collected will be donated to the Professional Athletes Foundation to support legends in need and the NFL Foundation.
