INDIANAPOLIS — Three structures were impacted by a fire on the near east side of Indianapolis on Saturday night.
Public police reporting systems indicate Indianapolis Fire Department crews were dispatched to the 400 block of North Oakland Avenue — which is located near the intersection of East Michigan and North Rural Streets — around 6:45 p.m. on a report of a double residence fire. IFD indicated that first responders found heavy smoke and fire impacting at least one structure when they arrived at the scene.
The fire ultimately spread to two additional structures located near the residence the blaze first broke out in. Two of the structures impacted by the fire were vacant.
One person was displaced by the blaze. IFD confirmed no pets, firefighters or civilians were injured by the flames.
