SIOUX FALLS S.D. (KELO) — A man is facing multiple charges after a family dispute Friday morning.
According to the Sioux Falls Police Department, officers were called to the 3500 block of Key Avenue in western Sioux Falls for reports of a family arguing. Neighbors called police, citing concerns a firearm was involved.
When officials arrived, the victim told police she had been assaulted by a man, along with her child. When officers arrived, the man had fled the scene with two children.
Officers located the suspect, who was identified as Raymond Leon Allen, and arrested him without incident. The children sustained minor injuries and were returned to the victim.
Allen is charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping, second-degree kidnapping, abuse and cruelty to a minor under the age of seven, domestic aggravated assault and simple domestic assault.
Allen makes his initial court appearance Friday afternoon.
