INDIANAPOLIS — It’s time to make a splash and make a difference for thousands of Special Olympic athletes across the state as the annual polar plunge season gets underway.

This is the 25th anniversary of the Special Olympics Indiana signature fundraiser which runs from February 2 to March 2. The goal is to raise $1 million dollars and make this anniversary celebration one to remember.

There are three steps to join in on the Polar Plunge action this year:

  1. Commit! Register online and choose a location close to you.
  2. Fundraise! Participants need to raise a minimum of $99 for Special Olympics Indiana to be a part of the plunge. There are also fundraising prizes including exclusive t-shirts, towels, bags, robes, and more.
  3. Take the Plunge! Don’t forget to bring a signed liability waiver on the day of the plunge as well as the pledge form and all offline donations!

There are 19 locations across the state where the polar plunges will be happening this year including Indianapolis, Bloomington, Terre Haute, South Bend, West Lafayette, and more.
